The Weight of His Glory

Today, I was spending time with the Lord and he gave me a vision and a word for the church. Here's what I saw and what I hear Him saying to us today:

I saw a picture of a large wooden cart that was being pulled by horses. The cart had HUGE wheels and was going fast down a dirt road behind horses that were galloping at full speed.

The Lord said to me: this cart represents my people who have fully surrendered their life to me that they might be carriers of my glory. My Glory within them make them a force that will not be taken lightly. All of my people are meant to be carriers of my glory and those who are, will see all fear, all evil, and anything that raises its name above my own trampled under the weight of my glory .

Then he gave me a closer look at the cart as it was racing down the road. I saw its large wheels were crushing sticks, stones, and anything it ran over (I thought of the childhood jingle "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me"). Then I saw serpents' heads being crushed under the wheels and bones being ground to powder without the cart being moved or swayed at all.

I heard the Lord say: the words of the enemy that come from the snake's mouth to deceive us, and ALL accusations that are thrown at us, like sticks and stones, they will all fall to the ground and will be run over and ground into powder under the mighty weight of my glory.

In response, I say "Lord let your glory descend upon us like the latter rain. Fall on your people and fill up our temples made of flesh and bone. Let the weight of your glory fall upon us and let every step we take crush the enemy's lies, words of deceit, and harmful agendas and plans. Father, let your glory rest on us as we are designed to be carriers of your presence. We are on a mission. We are racing towards the battle. We will not be slowed by ANYTHING, rather, all distractions will be crushed under the weight of this vessel that is carrying your glory to the ends of the Earth. Let your spirit and your glory be our fuel as we continue to proclaim the good news of the gospel and invite your Kingdom to Come and Your Will Be Done throughout the Earth as it is in heaven.

Amen and let it be, Lord!"

"Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you."

Isaiah 60:1‭-‬2 NKJV

C.S. Lewis "To please God… to be a real ingredient in the divine happiness… to be loved by God, not merely pitied, but delighted in as an artist delights in his work or a father in a son- it seems impossible, a weight or burden of glory which our thoughts can hardly sustain. But so it is." From the book Weight of Glory

"We should therefore set the glory of God as the goal and overarching emphasis of our lives. Whatever we lose for the sake of making the Lord’s glory known will be worth it when we see the dazzling light and beauty of the divine glory (Rev. 21:23)...Interestingly, the Hebrew word kabod, which is translated into English as “glory,” has the root meaning of “weight” or “heaviness.” This offers a clue that glory has to do with weight, and this is confirmed by passages such as 2 Corinthians 4:17, which speaks of the “weight of glory.”

“This light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison.”
