Embracing the New Year: A Journey of Convergence and Overflow

Seeking Divine Guidance for the Year Ahead

Every August, I pause to seek the Lord's guidance for the upcoming year. I focus first on the Hebrew New Year, which typically falls between September and October. This year, it begins on September 22, 2025. I also ask Him about the coming Gregorian calendar year. Over the years, this practice has become one of my favorite rhythms. It feels like stepping into a conversation with the Holy Spirit about what’s on His heart for the new season.

What I love most is that this gives me a starting point—not just for prayer but also for paying attention to what others are hearing. Again and again, God amazes me with His confirmations. I’ll hear something in prayer, and then it’ll come up through a friend, a family member, or even a ministry I follow. When those pieces come together, it’s like watching Him weave a bigger picture. It gives me clarity about my role in His plan.

If you’ve never done this before, I encourage you to try it. Ask the Lord what He has for you in the year ahead. Maybe He’ll give you a word, a picture, or even just a sense of direction. Whatever it looks like, it’s a powerful way to start the year with vision and hope. You may be surprised at how your word connects with what He’s speaking to others too. There’s something so encouraging about comparing notes and realizing together that God is at work, painting a story that’s bigger than any of us.

The Significance of the Number 6

This year, as I began to look at the number 6, represented in both the Jewish Calendar year of 5786 and our new year of 2026, I found it fascinating. This number has much to do with joining together and being an instrument of connection. It felt significant and stirred up a vision for what the Lord has in store for this new year. Last week, I received a download from the Holy Spirit about the coming year.

Understanding VaV (6)

In Hebrew, vav (ו) (pronounced "vahv") is the name of the letter that means "hook," "nail," or "tent peg." It serves as the sixth letter of the Hebrew alphabet

Thus, prophetically in 5786, Vav symbolizes:

• A critical joining of alliances, decisions, and spiritual standings being sealed.

• A securing of alignments—politically, spiritually, and globally.

• A transition point—the hinge between eras, moving deeper into the end-times timeline.

  
  

The Word of the Year: Convergence

In December 2023, the Lord broke into my morning with a clear and undeniable word: CONVERGENCE. At the time, I had no understanding of its meaning, yet He set me on a path to discover its weight and purpose. Since then, the Spirit has been drawing people, ministries, and voices together—aligning them for something far greater than what any of us could accomplish alone.

Now the Lord is releasing this word again, but with fresh fire for this new year. We are stepping into the Hebrew year of Vav (6) in 5786/2026—a year marked by divine joining, weaving, and uniting. Heaven is declaring: this is the year of Convergence.

This year will close the chapter on what has been and open wide the doors to what is new. It is a year of crossover—into alignment, fresh assignments, and new territories of influence and impact. The seeds sown in past seasons are converging with the harvest of this moment. What has been prepared is now coming into position. What has been delayed will now be accelerated. And what has been scattered will now be gathered and woven together by the hand of the Lord.

The Seamless Transition

The Lord told me that this transition is going to be Seamless. We will no longer see where the old ended and the new began because they will be seamlessly woven together in perfect order and alignment with what the Lord has purposed for our lives. Anything that no longer fits must be left behind. Old wine skins will not flow seamlessly with the new wine. If it resists the flow—let it go!

Kingdom Advancement

There is a clear announcement resounding in the Spirit: this is a year of advancement. But hear this—what we advance matters. Good intentions, clever strategies, programs, and structures will hold no weight in this season unless they align with the mandate of Christ: the advancement of His Kingdom in this hour.

We must not be blind to the reality that another agenda is also advancing across the earth. Yet there is only one advancement that carries heaven's authority: that Jesus would receive the fullness of His reward. That His Kingdom would break forth on earth as it is in heaven. That His name would be exalted in worship and adoration from every tribe and tongue. That the lost sons and daughters would come home through the power of His blood.

There is an urgency in the Spirit and a summons to us all: yield to the Holy Spirit’s alignment. Let Him bring our hearts into oneness with the person and purposes of Jesus. Lay down every agenda that does not beat in rhythm with His heart. For anything built apart from Christ, no matter how noble it may appear, will be exposed. May we not labor only to hear at the end of our race the chilling words: “I never knew you.”

Instead, let us be found faithful—advancing only His Kingdom, carrying only His name, and living only for His reward.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’”

Overflow: The Year of Abundance

This is the year of “cannot contain it” overflow. This blessing comes with a warning—when abundance comes, do NOT try to contain it. It must flow out to continue pouring in. To try to contain what the Lord purposes to flow will cut off the circulation and cause the overflow to cease, creating a desert where a river was meant to exist.

"Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it."

Malachi 3:10

Welcome in the WARTIME HARVEST!

“The Lord is at Your right hand, He will crush kings in the day of His wrath. He will execute judgment [in overwhelming punishment] among the nations; He will fill them with corpses, He will crush the chief men over a broad country. [Ezek 38:21, 22; 39:11, 12] He will drink from the brook by the wayside; Therefore He will lift up His head [triumphantly].”

Psalms 110:5-7 AMP

We have now entered the time of the increase of the Kingdom, which has come in response to the assault on "purpose." As the enemy rages with an all-out attack on the Body of Christ, the very sound of their threats will shake the ground and rattle cages free. The result will be the people of God awakening and coming out of their prisons, ready for battle. We will see the demonized set free, the prodigals come home, the lost find Jesus at the cross, and all will enter into the Kingdom with a purpose.

Kingdom Mandates will overtake well-intentioned, yet no longer effective, programs. Passionate pursuit of Jesus and His righteousness will overtake clean appearances and well-manicured ministries. Radical warriors and passionate lovers of Jesus will overtake loud voices without substance, words without power, and eloquent speeches that leave the listener bound and gagged in their sin.

The Clash of the Titans

The clash of the titans has begun. This is where we will see the rise of the new world order and the kingdom of this age take its place in plain sight. At the same time, the Kingdom of light ascends as the Hill of the Lord for all to see. The contrast will be stark, and the battle will escalate to never-before-seen intensity as the Lord's return draws near.

"Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other."

Matthew 24:30-31

Thank you, Lord, for Your word! Thank you for Your victory, won for all of humanity, on the cross. God be praised! Let the whole earth join with the heavenly hosts, singing, "Holy, Holy, is the Lord God Almighty. The One who was, and is, and is to come."
