Behold, the Days Are Coming: A Reflection on Amos 9:13-15

Updated: Sep 20, 2025

The Promise of Restoration

I was reading the Bible during my quiet time this morning. A passage caught my attention. In Amos chapter 9, verse 13, it begins with “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord…”

My heart was stirred by these words. “Behold” means to look up, see, pay attention, and focus with great intention. The days we have sown for in advance are coming. We have plowed the fields of our hearts and invested in the spirit. These are the days of the coming of the Lord and an outpouring like the earth has never seen.

A Vision of Unity and Power

Imagine a time where our youth are restored. Our children walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, wielding the authority of the Lord. Picture husbands and wives walking side by side, in sync and stride, pursuing the things of the Lord in unity and love.

These days will be filled with signs, wonders, and the Holy Fear of the Lord. Streets will be flooded with worship, bringing nations to their knees before the King of kings and Lord of Lords. Worship and adoration will never cease. The Bride of Christ will turn from devouring one another to reclaiming the land and expanding the Kingdom of God here on earth.

A Call to Love and Witness

In these days, we will love not our lives even to the point of death. We will love our neighbors as ourselves. Jesus will have our hearts, and the world will witness the goodness of all He has done. Christ will be our One thing, and we will be fully yielded to Him in reverence and obedience.

BEHOLD, THE DAYS ARE COMING!!!!

““Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, And the treader of grapes him who sows seed; The mountains shall drip with sweet wine, And all the hills shall flow with it. I will bring back the captives of My people Israel; They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them; They shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them. I will plant them in their land, And no longer shall they be pulled up From the land I have given them,” Says the Lord your God.”
‭‭Amos‬ ‭9‬:‭13‬-‭15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The Significance of "Behold"

The word "behold" is significant. It invites us to engage deeply with the message. It’s a call to recognize the importance of what is to come. We must prepare our hearts and minds for the transformation that awaits us.

As we reflect on this passage, we should ask ourselves: Are we ready for the days that are coming? Are we prepared to embrace the changes that God will bring into our lives?

Preparing Our Hearts

Preparation is essential. We must cultivate our spiritual gardens. This involves prayer, meditation, and seeking the Lord's guidance. When we invest time in our relationship with God, we are better equipped to receive His blessings.

Let us also remember to support one another. Community plays a vital role in our spiritual growth. We should encourage each other in faith and love. Together, we can build a strong foundation for the days to come.

The Role of Faith

Faith is our anchor. It keeps us grounded during turbulent times. As we anticipate the days ahead, let us strengthen our faith. Trust in God's promises and His timing.

The journey may not always be easy, but with faith, we can overcome challenges. We can face uncertainties with courage, knowing that God is with us.

Living in Expectation

Living in expectation is crucial. It shapes our mindset and actions. When we expect great things from God, we align ourselves with His will. Our hearts become open to receive His blessings.

Let us approach each day with anticipation. Look for opportunities to witness God's work in our lives and the lives of others.

Conclusion: Embracing the Days Ahead

As we conclude this reflection, let us hold onto the promise of Amos 9:13-15. The days are coming, filled with hope and restoration.

May we be ready to embrace the changes that God has in store for us. Let us prepare our hearts, strengthen our faith, and live in expectation. Together, we can witness the goodness of the Lord in our lives and in the world around us.

Let us remember, the days are coming—and they will be glorious.
