Winds of Change

In my prayer time this morning the Lord led me to read in Genesis about Noah. These two verses jumped out at me:

And God remembered and thought kindly of Noah and every living thing and all the animals that were with him in the ark; and God made a wind blow over the land, and the waters receded.” - Genesis 8:1 AMP

“On the twenty-seventh day of the second month the land was [entirely] dry.” - Genesis 8:14 AMP

This week across most of the Nation (in the U.S.) there were massive wind storms. In many places, including where I live there were gusts up to 40-50 miles an hour at times. What I found so interesting was as that coworkers in Seattle and San Diego, as well as friends in the midwest and central U.S. were also talking about high winds in their cities. Not

just that but on the Gold Coast in Australia this past week they had a cyclone hit their area with a large storm surge and high winds.

As I read these verses the Lord spoke to me. In verse one it says “God remembered and thought kindly of Noah”, and then "God made a wind blow over the land” . Then in verse 14 it said that on the twenty-seventh day the land was entirely dry. I believe the word of the Lord is that He has brought these winds as a sign to us, His Bride, that He has "remembered us" and in His great affection for us is now parting the waters and drying out the affects of the flood that we have been under for so long. Though we have been safe under His care, there is no doubt we have been under the pressures of the storm and the flood that has come over, not just us, but the whole earth.

I believe the next 27-30 days we are going to see the flood waters recede and there is solid, dry ground (new territory and promised lands of provision) opening up to us all. The storm is about to cease, the Lord is blowing back the waters and we are going to emerge into a new land that He has purposed for us. In this new land we will be called to cultivate and tend to/cultivate it and allow the Lord to use us to bare much fruit for the Kingdom. We must pay attention over these next 3-4 weeks and we will see the Lord pull back the waters of resistance and I believe that, daily, we will see new ground and new land begin to emerge. When the time comes and it is safe to step out of the ark, He will lead us onto dry ground and begin the work of restoration in our lives.

Thank you, Lord, for Your kindness and for moving mountains and sending Your mighty winds to shift the landscapes of our lives. Thank you for blowing away the storms in this season to make way for the new territories You are calling us into for this new season. Give us eyes to see, ears to hear, and hearts to respond in faith to what Your spirit is saying to us and to Your global Bride today. Amen!

  • If this word resonates in your spirit as it has in mine, or if you have heard something similar or have anything to add based on what the Lord is speaking to you, PLEASE share. We each only see and hear in part and I would love to hear what the Lord is revealing to you in this hour. Thank you!

Amen - what a great word! the flood waters are receding, and the river of life is arising (Ezekiel 47). 'For behold, the winter is past, The rain is over and gone. 'The flowers appear on the earth once again; The time for singing has come, And the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land. (Song of Songs 2:11-13 AMP).
