Crossing The Jordan

7:10 AM

I hear the Lord saying: It is time to cross over the Jordan. Today is the day to transition from the preparation of the wilderness to the provision of the promises of God over our lives (The Promised Land). Recognize that the season and the time has changed. The clock has turned and a new day has come (Isaiah 43:18-19). Cross over the Jordan (Joshua 3:14-17). The Lord has pulled back the boundaries of the waters that had once kept us in the valley of decision, the plains of preparations, and the desert of invitation to Himself. Now is the time, this is the day to move into the season of fulfillment that the Lord has prepared for us.

The words that He gave us to inspire us and sustain us during the time of preparation, the promises He spoke over us in seasons past, they were a light and a beacon of hope to remind us to remain faithful and pursue Him, and Him alone, during the years in the desert. In our season of preparation we needed the pillar of cloud by day and the fire by night to lead us. Today as we cross over into the land that He has prepared for us, we now must rely on being led by His heartbeat. We must posture ourselves with our head on His chest (just like John, His disciple - John 13:23). To know His heart. To move forward through intimacy with the Father..."I only do what I see the Father doing" (John 5:19). With this promotion comes a new level of devotion. The old ways are no longer enough. Deeper we must go in our pursuit of the Bridegroom Lord. A ravished heart is what He requires of us in this new time, in this new season. Following after Him as a lover and as a friend. We are NO LONGER SLAVES. He will no longer give us orders, but we will follow where He goes because we are always right by His side. We are moved by what moves Him and speak the words of life that we hear Him speaking. Nothing more and nothing less.

Come, let us cross over the Jordan for that is where the Lion of Judah, the Lamb of God, and the King of kings has prepared a place for us (Hebrews 11:16). Fix your eyes on Jesus and set your heart on Him and we will take the land that He has purposed for us. Today the Promised Land awaits, cross over! (Joshua 1:13)

Biblical References:

“Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert."

Isaiah 43:18‭-‬19 NKJV

"So it was, when the people set out from their camp to cross over the Jordan, with the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people, and as those who bore the ark came to the Jordan, and the feet of the priests who bore the ark dipped in the edge of the water (for the Jordan overflows all its banks during the whole time of harvest), that the waters which came down from upstream stood still, and rose in a heap very far away at Adam, the city that is beside Zaretan. So the waters that went down into the Sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, failed, and were cut off; and the people crossed over opposite Jericho. Then the priests who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firm on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan; and all Israel crossed over on dry ground, until all the people had crossed completely over the Jordan."

Joshua 3:14‭-‬17 NKJV

"Now there was leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved."

John 13:23 NKJV

"Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner."

John 5:19 NKJV

"But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them."

Hebrews 11:16 NKJV

“Remember the word which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, saying, ‘The Lord your God is giving you rest and is giving you this land.’

Joshua 1:13 NKJV
